Modernize any space by creating flush baseboards with the clean and sharp lines of Architectural L Bead. Traditional baseboards gather unattractive dust over time that lead to unnecessary maintenance costs. Flush baseboards solve this problem entirely because there is no surface for dust to settle on.
It is recommended that you install the floor prior to the drywall and baseboard. Accurately measure to determine if the floor is uneven, if so trim the baseboard as needed to accommodate the irregularities. Before installing the drywall, determine the desired height of the baseboard. It is important to make sure the bottom of the drywall is level during installation. If the floor is 1/4" higher on one side of the wall, incorporate the difference when installing the drywall to prevent a gap once the Architectural L Bead and baseboard are installed.
Create a spacer from a piece of drywall to act as a guide when installing the drywall. Screw the spacer into place temporarily and simply rest the sheet of drywall on it during installation to ensure accurate measurements for baseboard installation. Once the drywall is installed, remove the spacer before installing Architectural L Bead.
It is recommended to apply two coats of 847 Spray Adhesive directly to the Architectural L Bead. Attach the mud legs to the drywall and staple every 4-6" with 1/2" staples. Mud, paint and install baseboard ensuring that there are no unsightly gaps.
